This is the place of the balloon man scene in the cinema movie “The Third Man“, 1949. The ALTE HOFAPOTHEKE (Old Court Pharmacy) facade in the movie is realita the street front of the Spanish Riding School. The HOFAPOTHEKE letters on the wall are gone, the pharmacy has turned to a candy shop. The store “Halder” on the other corner still exists. Visit here the Third Man Museum in Vienna.
