Vienna, Austria
Innere Stadt (Old Town), Helmut-Zilk-Platz with the “Monument Against War and Fascism”, in front of the Albertina Museum. In the center of this frame, the two large white blocks “War” and Holocaust” build the “Gate of Violence”. In the shadow left of it there is the “Kneeling Jew”, brushing the street. The third part of this installation, “Orpheus Entering Hades” is the marble block left of them. Finally, the stone far left is a stele with a text engraved. Artist Alfred Hrdlicka.
