Maria Theresien Platz with Empress Maria Theresia Statue. Maria Theresien Platz is the park between the Museum of Arts and the Museum of Natural History. The center of this park is dominated by an enormous monument with Empress Maria Theresia on top, surrounded by her comrades-in-arms, her Generals and advisers (in the lower section). This group of men stands for the imperial administration, with Friedrich Wilhelm von Haugwitz in front.
James Bond and Kara Milovy (Timothy Dalton, Maryam d’Abo) pass this monument in a fiacre (a historic horse drawn carriage), in the movie “The Living Daylights“.
