Maria Theresien Platz with Empress Maria Theresia Statue. Maria Theresien Platz is the park between the Museum of Arts and the Museum of Natural History. The center of this park is dominated by an enormous monument with Empress Maria Theresia on top, surrounded by her comrades-in-arms, her Generals and advisers (in the lower section). The man in front of the group is Gerard van Swieten, her personal physician.
James Bond and Kara Milovy (Timothy Dalton, Maryam d’Abo) cross this park in a fiacre (a historic horse drawn carriage), in the movie “The Living Daylights”.
