Wurstelprater, the amusement park in the Wiener Prater area. We are on Riesenradplatz, the main square. This is a panorama from the right (main entrance) to the left (Riesenrad).
Until comprehensive reconstruction of the area in 2009, there has been a small cafe at this place. In the James Bond cinema movie The Living Daylights, the manipulated sliding door of that cafe kills Bonds local colleague.
Celine and Jesse (Julie Delpy, Ethan Hawke) take an evening ride in one of the gondolas of the Giant Ferris Wheel and kiss here for the first time in the cinema movie “Before Sunrise“.
