Description

Roncesvalles, the monastery after the pilgrims have overcome the pyrenees. This panorama from the right to the left is taken from the pedestal in front of the venerable “Snoring Hall” (worn out and closed), covering the two pilgrim restaurants and the Santiago Chapel at the street. Mind the nice detail on the wall: the place where the shoe brush once hung, highlighted with white cercles. The Camino de Santiago is UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.

Thomas Avery (Martin Sheen) walks this part of the Camino and sleeps in the “Snoring Hall” in the cinema movie “The Way“.
