One of the rare moments when Rathausplatz is empty (The square between Rathaus and Burgtheater is almost continuously used for events of all kinds). This is a view from Rathaus to Burgtheater. The Innere Stadt of Vienna is UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
Celine and Jesse (Julie Delpy, Ethan Hawke) pass this place in an old streetcar on their way to the record store in the cinema movie “Before Sunrise“.
