Riesenradplatz (Giant Ferris Wheel  Square, where Riesenrad, the Giant Ferris Wheel is located) seen from the entrance of the amusement park. This is a panorama from the right to the left, following the train.

Until complete reconstruction of the area in 2009, there has been a small cafe at this place. In the James Bond cinema movie “The Living Daylights“, the manipulated sliding door of that cafe kills Bonds local colleague.

Celine and Jesse (Julie Delpy, Ethan Hawke) have their night walk around here in the movie “Before Sunrise” and kiss for the first time in one of the Riesenrad gondolas.
