Riesenrad (The Giant Ferris Wheel) is the centerpiece of “Prater”. Prater is the name for both a large, forested Viennese recreation area as well as for an old fashioned amusement park.

Celine and Jesse (Julie Delpy, Ethan Hawke) take an evening ride in one of the gondolas and kiss here for the first time in the cinema movie “Before Sunrise“.
