On Zentralfriedhof (Central Cemetery), one of the world’s largest cemeteries. This is a panorama from the right to the left.
This is the place where Harry Lime’s funeral took place in the cinema movie The Third Man. His grave must have been a mockup on the gravel walk between the graves (or the path didnt exist at the time of filming). The only thing that identifies the place is Lime’s neighbour grave “Elchinger”, which is real. Visit here the Third Man Museum in Vienna.
At the time of my visit in spring 2020, the black “Elchinger” gravestone has been taken off, laid on the grass and labeled in red, which means that the paid period of use has expired, the stone is ready for disposal and the lot is free to be given to others.
