On Zentralfriedhof (Central Cemetery), one of the world’s largest cemeteries. This is a panorama from the left to the right.
This is the street that Anna Schmidt walks along and where Holly Martins / Major Calloway have their car conversation in the cinema movie The Third Man. Visit here the Third Man Museum in Vienna.
At the time of my visit in 2020, many of the tombstones (hence the graves) still exist. The most significant are the tombstone with the two black columns and the white tall stone that shows an angel, the head bent forward. This angel stone is visible in 3 takes (After several watchings and comparison, the current stone seems to be a new one. The elbows rest differently today, the head on film seems to have hair or wear a shawl, and the current sculpture doesnt show a trace of weathering). Also the obelisk at the northern end of the street still exists.
